Google Personalized Searches
Google will place a cookie on your computer that allows it to identify you when you are making a search.
This then allows Google to personalise or customise your searches. This actually shows sites you use more often higher in the results.
Great if you like seeing yourself high up however unfortunately the rest of the world may not see it that way.
Hence results are distorted on your PC (browser actually)
Being a Gold Coast Search Engine Optimisation specailist I prefer to turn this feature off because we want results that reflect the search activity by everyone else.
To turn off personalization of your Google search results - from Google results click on Web History - click "Disable customizations based on search history"
